CANTON -- Anthony H. Kaner, 77, of 857 S. Third died at 9:52 p.m.

Monday, July 8, 1996, at Graham Hospital.

Born July 14, 1918, in Dunfermline to Fred and Frances Mistic Kaner, he married Norma Smith on Nov. 22, 1952, in Jacksonville. She survives.

Also surviving are two daughters, Mrs. James (Kathy) White of Ellisville and Mrs. Mark (Mary) Munson of Canton; one son, William A. Nidiffer of California; one brother, Andrew Yerbic of Canton; 13 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. One sister preceded him in death.

He was a hammer operator in the forge shop at International Harvester for 39 years, retiring in 1974. He was a member of Moose Lodge 784, Eagles Lodge 580 and the Croatian Club. He was of the Catholic faith.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Murphy-Sedgwick Memorial Home. The Rev. Robert O'Connor will officiate. Visitation will be one hour before services at the memorial home. Burial will be in White Chapel Memory Gardens.

Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Foundation.
